OIL SPILL DISPERSANT - CLEAN-UP CHEMICAL

Cleaning ECO 83 is a high performance, last generation, water-based, concentrated, oil spill dispersant and clean-up chemical specifically developed to solve the problems associated with marine oil spills and the cleanup operations.

Cleaning ECO 83 is a dispersant for the rapid and effective clean-up of oil spills at sea, on rocky shoreline and beaches. It can be applied by boat or aerial spraying.

OIL SPILLS AT SEA

Cleaning ECO 83 can be used neat or diluted with sea water. It is applied from booms on work boats, hand sprayers or hoses using an injector.

Cleaning ECO 83 is diluted with water at ratio of 1 to 20. Mix immediately before use. 1 litre of solution will treat approximately 10 m2 of oil spill. The ratio can vary depending on the type and thickness of oil spill. At the sea one part of mixture will disperse 2-3 parts of oil. To maximize the effectiveness of dispersal and minimise the damage to the environment, it is important to use the product at an early stage of the clean-up operation, before weathering takes place.

Cleaning ECO 83 is approved as dispersant for oil spills according to specifications by ITALIAN MINISTRY FOR ENVIRONMENT AND TERRITORY AND SEA - DIRECTION FOR NATURE AND SEA PROTECTION.

OIL ON BEACHES AND SHORELINE

Remove and reclaim as much oil as possible. Then by use of a suitable spraying equipment, spray Cleaning ECO 83 over the oiled areas using one part of dispersant to 5 - 20 parts of oil. Wash down the beach or rocks with water. Quantity of product depends on the type and thickness of oil spill and weathering of the oil. In some cases several applications may be necessary.

Cleaning ECO 83 can be successfully used as emulsifying cleaner for bilges and as degreaser for metallic soiled surfaces. For soiled areas apply by brush or spray. Allow 5 minutes for the product to work and then rinse with hot or cold water at 80 - 100 psi (5 - 7 bar).

Cleaning ECO 83 can also be successfully used during oil drilling operations as a casing cleaner for drilling muds.
